On The Right Track: Fighting Fatigue through Fitness

Jenny Spencer-

RN, Oncology Nurse and Certified Exercise Specialist. Jenny is the founder of Fight the Fatigue, an exercise program for cancer patients. She has been able to incorporate her oncology nursing background with her fitness trainer certification in order to develop a safe, effective and individualized exercise program for those living with cancer throughout their entire fight; starting even as soon as diagnosis.

Jenny sees movement as integral to feeling better physically, but also equally important – mentally. She is most passionate about using exercise as a tool for patients to play an active role in their treatment in order to improve their outcomes, maintain their independence and live a quality life doing the things they love with the people they love!

Remember: No matter how small the action is, it is still progress. It is important to improve your health and well being through exercise, especially from the start of your cancer journey to improve your quality of life. Research shows that patients that exercise have less fatigue and have increased strength and endurance along with a better mental state.
