Have you ever felt your mood change when someone walks into a room? Without a word even spoken, you pick up on the energy. Do you feel like you’re extremely aware of your surroundings and situations? Have you ever been told you are too dramatic?
These all may be signs of being an empath or a highly sensitive person.
So, what is an HSP? Is it something you are born with or is it developed over time?
Life can force us to handle some pretty big disappointments and struggles. Our coping skills are formed to protect us. Is that where HSP starts?
My guest Graciela Moore will light the way for us and discuss what that means and how it can affect our lives. Graciela is a certified life coach and a highly sensitive person. She understands what it feels like to be in tune with ourselves and will give us some tools to find out if you are HSP and how to become less anxious and more self-aware.
In this episode, we learn how to manage, protect, nurture and harness the power of your energy. If you are struggling with your feelings and can’t explain why…Your intuitive nature is most likely signaling to you.
“You’re spending time with someone on a social interaction and you’re wondering why am I so anxious? Why am I fidgeting? As a highly sensitive person and someone who is self aware, the question would be, where is this energy coming from? Because this is not mine. I did not come here with this anxiety. I did not come here with this animosity and yet here we are. Even in an argument with someone else, did I really intend to do this? Or is this someone else’s energy rubbing off on me because I am highly sensitive and I can sense it.”
I was surprised and at the same time I wasn’t to learn that so much of our conversation today made total sense to me and explained how I have felt. Now you know when you experience intense feelings but don’t understand where they are coming from there is hope to finding the answers. Using an HSP assessment, like the one that Graciela talked about is a great first step to becoming more self aware.
We have to be aware of ourselves to be able to help others. Learning to harness the power of our energy and have healthier boundaries will allow us to live a more peaceful life. “Find healing, grow unapologetically, own your gifts, hone your strengths and live your dream!“
