Collision Course: How A Brush with Death Led to a Soul Centered Future

Jennifer Rurka –

Is your life on a collision course?

Sometimes it takes a life altering event to truly appreciate the value of life. For my guest, Jennifer Rurka, her near-death experience or epiphany was the wake-up call that led to a drastic and complete shift in her perspective and a new understanding of life.

Ep. 107

After facing the possibility of death, many people begin to question the purpose and meaning of their life. This can lead to a period of introspection and self-discovery, as you explore your values, passions, and goals. For some, this may mean making significant changes in your career, relationships, or even lifestyle. By embracing life fully, you will find a more empowered existence.

Jennifer Rurka shares her incredible journey of healing with us.

Jennifer is an author, perception facilitator and yoga instructor. Her work with clients helps them find freedom from their pasts and the strength to move forward. Jennifer explores how to connect your inner world to your outer experience and examines how the past programs us. She gives us insight to her life experiences and the tools she used to overcome the buried trauma driving her emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

Jennifer recently published her book Soul Center: The See It Through Method to Take Control of Your Emotions, Heal Your Past, and Live a Soulful Life, designed to help readers see themselves in a way where they can no longer not see themselves. This book helps you to not only be more accountable for your feelings but to also know how to See It Through (SIT method).

We’ll be learning more about that in this episode.

I would just say be fearless. And the only way you can be fearless is if you feel your fear and stop running from it. And so the more that you feel, the more that you’re going to heal. The more that you feel, the more you’re going to deactivate that charge. That’s making you run, that’s making you exhausted. And when you do that, you’re going to take back your power and feel more powerful. You’ll have more energy.

Jennifer Rurka shared her story and journey of transformation, after an epiphany in 2005 as she was struggling with emotional unwellness and drinking excessively. Desperate to escape reality, she attempted to drink it away. Instead, this experience led her to make a life-changing decision. She shares the insight and clarity that this experience has brought to her life, such as the importance of alignment with people, places, and situations that support our wellbeing.

Living Fearlessly: 7 Steps to Start Transforming Your Life

  • Embrace your fears
The first step to living fearlessly is to embrace your fears. Acknowledge them and understand that they are a natural part of life. Once you accept your fears, you can start to work on overcoming them
  • Take small steps
Don’t try to conquer your fears all at once. Take small steps towards overcoming them. For example, if you’re afraid of public speaking, start by speaking in front of a small group of friends or family members.
  • Practice mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment and not letting your thoughts and emotions control you. By practicing mindfulness, you can learn to control your fears and not let them control you.
  • Surround yourself with positivity
Surround yourself with positive people and things that inspire you. This will help you stay motivated and focused on your goals.
  • Take risks
Living fearlessly means taking risks. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try new things. You never know what opportunities may arise from taking a chance.
  • Learn from failure
Failure is a natural part of life. Instead of letting it defeat you, use it as a learning opportunity. Analyze what went wrong and use that knowledge to improve and grow.
  • Believe in yourself
The most important step to living fearlessly is to believe in yourself. Trust your instincts and have confidence in your abilities. With a positive mindset and a can-do attitude, you can overcome any fear and achieve your goals.
