Man the Lifeboats: How to Save Yourself When You are Sinking in Life

When life presents you with the opportunity to make big decisions, to change and transform your life, are you going willingly? Or is your ship sinking and you desperately need a lifeboat?

You may be optimistic and excited to see what’s in store. But, if you’ve had your share of bad days, even weeks, months or years, you can feel anxious, pressured and overwhelmed by the thought of change. It can be debilitating. 

Zach-There’s a saying that I have heard from my coach at the gym and a couple of other places , but it basically goes “It’s always a great day for day one”. Whatever it is that you have committed to, paused on –  whatever it is. It’s always a good day for day one – just start. Even if you haven’t done it in a while. Just do it.

JeremyAnd along those same lines I’d rather have a thousand day one’s than not one. Then I’ve tried a thousand times and learned a thousand lessons.

My guests, Zach Tucker and Jeremy Grater have battled their share of mental and physical health issues, parenting and relationships struggles and addiction and dependency issues (some were their own). Through it all they came out stronger.  They want to share with you today how that is possible when you are on … the verge of sinking in life.

Zach and Jeremy are the founders and hosts of The Fit Mess podcast. For about 10 years they have pushed themselves to learn more about their own physical, emotional, and mental health. Jeremy is a Certified Transformation & REBT Mindset Coach. Zach is a Certified Yoga and Insanity Live coach.

Today they share with you their vulnerability and encourage you to get through that struggle and learn from it and become a better, healthier version of you! 

At some point you’ve struggled with your thoughts. Wondering how you would get through. The anxiety and fear of “what if” looming in the background. 

Learning the skills and understanding who you are – unapologetically – will allow you to grow and become the person you strive to be. Allow those waves to happen. Be in tune with your mindset. Be curious with life and see what is around the corner. You may be surprised by what is waiting for you.

Remember, “ Who you were yesterday is not who you will be tomorrow”.
